RECOMMENDATION: Fully approved for proposed resolution at Council.

170 Clerk’s report and update on outstanding items from last meeting:

  • Review of contracts, for Utilities and IT support.

  • Telephone & Broadband issues re BT incorrect disconnection.

  • Lengthsman recruitment update

  • Councillor training – to consider an in-house training session by SPCA to help Councillors understand their financial responsibilities.

171 Audit of financial records, procedures and systems – Cllr D Smith

Resolution: The Parish Clerk to be instructed to find and work with.

  1. A new suitably qualified and experienced Internal Auditor for the year ending 31 March 2027.

  2. To carry out an interim audit to include the review of all the Councils financial systems, transactions, controls, processes and terms of reference.

  3. To investigate the award, suitability, management, scrutiny and control of supplier contracts over the past few years.

  4. The Auditor to present their full report and recommendations to Full Council only for action.

172 Grants for Grounds Maintenance for Shenstone/Stonnall and Little Aston playing fields and community grants.

  • To review the proposed new procedure for grants from 1 April 2026 – Cllr A Pugh

RECOMMENDATION: To approve and adopt the revised procedure.

173 Planning.

Approve planning applications received in last month and update on any objections/ developments.

Next meeting of the Neighbourhood, Planning & Property Committee Meeting: Tues 26 May 2026, at 5.30pm Parish Office.

RECOMMENDATION from Planning & Property meeting held 24 March 2026, the Clerk to set up a tracker of agreed objectives.

Little Aston. Feedback from Little Aston Consultation meeting held 31 March 2026

175 Calder Bridge, update re damage to bridge, and potential work required.

ACTION required: To ascertain work required and associated costs to repair or replace including professional survey.

ACTION required: For councillors to review quotes received and website design requirements to feed back to Finance Committee by Friday 17 April 2026

RECOMMENDATION – to approve the quote of £1,490 incl VAT
